I look forward to this family shoot every year! Not only do I get to take photos of a beautiful family but I get to hang out with them for a couple hours, too! If you know this family, then you know how special and wonderful getting to spend time with them truly is! We decided to head downtown this year for their shoot and do more of an “urban” look. I think my favorite photo from the shoot is when I asked Jason to dip Kim and the laughter that followed that moment. haha! They are such good sports! I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed taking them.
My brother and sister-n-law were in town the other day and we did a small impromptu photo shoot to celebrate my nephew’s big birthday! I can’t believe he is going to be 1. My heart melts every time I see his big brown eyes and I wanted to share just a few.
So…… You know how it has been really hot this summer? Like record breaking heat? Yep, you guessed it. This wedding was on one of those hot, sticky days! It was raining buckets as my second shooter (Jackie Day) and I pulled up to the beautiful country club in Cincinnati, Ohio. We hoped the rain might cool things off but it was still hot and muggy even after the storm passed. I say all this about the weather to say…. this bride looked FLAWLESS the whole day! How did she do it???? I have no idea! The rest of us were pretty sweaty but… wow…. her makeup and hair looked amazing even as I hugged her goodbye at the end of the night. I really do get the prettiest brides.
Emily and Cris decided to do a first look (thank you, thank you, thank you!) so we were able to spend lots of time driving around the golf course to get photos of them together. Their bridal party was amazing and so sweet! And get this! Both sides of their families learned a dance and did a “flash mob” at the end of Emily’s sister’s speech. (And yes, there are photos of the flash mob on here! I had to post a few!) It was a complete surprise to Emily and Cris and it was so fun to watch everyone (even Grandma) dancing on the dance floor!
Thank you, guys, for hiring me to capture your big day in photographs. And thank you to Jackie Day for coming with me and being an amazing 2nd shooter.
