I met this family downtown at the circle for a fun photo shoot on a perfect spring evening. The kids were too cute, absolutely amazing and did such a good job for me. The two older siblings were so gentle and loving to their new baby sister – it was precious! We did a few shots at the circle and then made our way over to the canal. Here are some of the ones that made me smile! The very last photo is my favorite. :)

This is my wonderful and beautiful neighbor, Erika! I was so excited to head downtown with this girl to do some senior portraits. And what a fun night it was! I tell you what, it was happening downtown Indy that night. Flocks of middle school and high school girls were heading to the Taylor Swift concert all dressed up in their finest country gear. Tons of high schoolers were all dolled up for their proms and we even saw the Chicken Limo drive by. (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s a limo with a huge fake chicken/rooster on the top of a limo. You should check it out and rent it for your next big event. ha!) Here are some of my favorites from our downtown shoot. This girl can rock the glasses look and the no glasses look. She rocks the camera while smiling, laughing and while being serious. I think Tyra Banks would say she was, “Fierce.” Anyways – congrats, Erika! Come back and visit our street. You will be missed.

This is Jordon. I was so lucky to get to photograph this handsome high school senior! The first thing I said when I met him was that I loved his hair. Jord0n was great and put up with me and my camera for a few hours! The weather was a little chilly but the sun stayed out so I’m not going to complain. And he even took a few photos with his beautiful mom (I put a few up at the end of this post). I really hope that my boy’s will be willing to do that with me when they are graduating. :)

So, as I was doing Kirsten’s photos – I decided that I wanted to steal her eyes. They are so blue – like crystal clear blue! aaaggghhhhh! So beautiful! I asked her and she said it was ok for me to steal them, ha! She is pretty laid back. Kirsten is also an amazing babysitter and actually asked if she could have some photos with the neighborhood kids that she has been babysitting for years. I loved that idea! It was so much fun and the kids were perfect. Here are just a few from our session! Congrats, Kirsten!

Spring!

I had an engagement shoot with Kyle and Anna a few weekends ago and it was so nice to have warm spring-like weather! This winter was so long and dreary and brown – yuck. I feel like all the Indy photographers (me included) are celebrating the fact that the sun is finally out and there is warmth. Kyle and Anna were perfect and so much fun to photograph. The Perfect Little Model

We had some of our dearest friends come visit us the other week. I really wanted to snap a few photos of them while they were here. The weather wasn’t the best… actually it was pretty nasty… cold and windy and a little rainy. But they all did great and put up with me and my camera and their daughter was perfect! She smiled when I asked her to smile. She rocked her serious look when I asked for that and couldn’t have been more wonderful. Here are just a few.

She was so focused on doing what I asked. Even with the wind blowing, she kept her eyes locked on my camera! Hello, super model! :)

Beautiful Music

When I found out that this gorgeous high school senior was willing to bring her harp downtown to the circle, I was soooooo excited! I have never photographed a harpist on the circle before. Well, ok, let’s be honest – I’ve never photographed anyone with a harp before. :) So, this was something new and exciting and different. I loved the looks that people gave us as they drove past. Oh and the music… the beautiful music… It was so amazing. I could have sat there all day and listened to her play. But…. we had more photos to take so I couldn’t. Here are just a few of my faves!

Here is another beautiful senior that I was lucky enough to photograph! I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful shoot. When Beth wrote to see if I could take some photos of her family, I was so excited! Beth played volleyball with me in high school and I always appreciated her kindness and her friendship – she is one of the nicest girls you’ll ever meet. She was amazing on the volleyball court, too. Beth ended up marrying Brian who also went to high school with us and was one of Southport’s stud basketball players. And they have two of the cutest little girls in the world and another little girl on the way! My camera could not get enough of their girls – they were so perfect for the entire photo shoot! Hope you enjoy looking at some of my faves.

Emily is such a sweet girl – I’m so lucky that I got to take her senior photos! I hadn’t met Emily before her photo shoot but by the end of our time together, I felt like going and getting ice cream with her and her mom in order to have more time with them! They were both so fun to be around and to talk and laugh with. Emily is a musician and had asked we could take photos with a piano. And thanks to the amazingly talented Denise Rooney of Denise Rooney Photography (check out her work – wowza! amazing stuff!), we were able to find a piano to use! Denise is so cool that she has a piano in her yard. So perfect!!!!! After we left Denise’s, we drove up to the IMA and did some more photos there! Enjoy!
